I Have Discovered the Secret to Homemade Iced Mocha!

I am obsessed with Starbucks iced mochas. I looooove them. But it’s not practical for me to buy them every day, or even every week.

And every time I try to recreate a Starbucks iced mocha at home, it’s a big fat FAIL. I figured since I don’t have an espresso maker, I was destined to get it all wrong right from the start. I almost gave up.

Until today!

I’m so excited about my accidental discovery, I just had to share with you all. I think the secret is starting with vanilla-flavored coffee – it adds that something that always seemed to be missing in my previous attempts.

This is not an exact copycat recipe, but it’s pretty darn close, and probably has far less calories than a Starbucks iced mocha. If you have a Keurig machine, give this a try!

Homemade Iced Mocha Recipe

    • Brew 1 Green Mountain Vanilla Iced Coffee k-cup. Brew it over ice on the smallest cup setting option you have on your Kerug machine.
    • Add 1 tablespoon simple syrup, 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup, as much skim milk as you’d like, and a dash of half and half. Mix it all up.
    • Top with whipped cream and little chocolate syrup, if you want.

Happy summer!
