An Honest Mom Review of Rosie’s Bakery

When I was asked if I’d like to sample some treats from Rosie’s Bakery, I didn’t have to think twice. I mean, I probably should have, considering my jeans have been a tad, um, snug lately. But whatever. Cookies? Cake? Chocolate anything? Bring it on!

I first dove into Rosie’s old-fashioned sugar cookies, which were delicious. Crunchy, buttery, melt-in-your mouth yumminess. And really cute, too. At $1 – $3.75 a pop, these are a sweet and affordable treat.

Then I sampled the Chocolate Heart Delirium. Oh boy. This is the chocolate jackpot, people. And gluten-free, to boot! This beautiful, heart-shaped cake is glazed in chocolate and decorated with pink roses. It is so rich and so chocolatey and so delicious. Flourless and truffle-like, the cake is a true indulgence.

At $12.95 for one cake, the Chocolate Heart Delirium is a great bet for a Valentine’s Day dessert. You really get your money’s worth, too – the cake lasted for days in my house. Not because I didn’t want to gobble it up, but because it is so rich and delicious, you want to make it last!

Since 1978, Rosie’s Bakery has been baking for Boston and offering fabulous, great-tasting signature cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and brownies. Rosie’s believes that food is one of the great pleasures of life, and aims to create desserts that conjure up memories of favorite childhood treats and family gatherings.
